Kongernes Samling - Amalienborgmuseet
You will find the Amalienborg Museum in Christian VIII's Palace, which is one of the four palaces that have been the home of the Danish royal family in Copenhagen since 1794. Here you can see the royal study rooms from Christian IX to Frederik. 9. (Her Majesty Queen Margrethe's father). You can also see the beautiful Fabergé Chamber and experience the mansion's magnificent beletage, which has formed the setting for major events throughout the ages and is still occasionally used by members of the royal family for various representative functions. There is no disabled parking space in connection with the museum. You may use the public spaces in the area. Click on the image above to see the closest ones. If you come along Frederiksgade, there are cobblestones on the pavement, which are supplemented by two rows of tiles with a even surface. There is level-free access to the building. After the entrance, there are 7 steps down to the ticket office, the shop, the cloakroom, the lift and toilets. A stair lift has been set up on one side of the stairs. The lift can lift 225 kg and has a bed size of 78 x 90 cm. It is of great importance that you can use the stairlift, as it is the only way into the building. The elevator from the basement floor (sousterre) runs to the 1st and 2nd floors, where there is an exhibition. The lift is operated by staff and you must therefore be accompanied. Everyone else who can must use the stairs to the 1st and 2nd floor, where the exhibitions are. There is plenty of space in the exhibitions. There is an accessible/disabled toilet on the lower level.
