Digital accessibility - Can your guests use your website?

At God Adgang, we work with screening and advice on accessibility, interior design and inclusion of all people in buildings and outdoor areas. But we are not experts in digital accessibility. But there are others who are - such as the companies Siteimprove or Sensus.

Digital accessibility is today just as important as barrier-free access to buildings and businesses. Digital solutions such as websites, booking portals and apps are the digital access route prior to a visit, participation in an event or a trip into nature. Today, the first contact with your company or your services for guests is often a digital contact. If it does not work and function, the guest will not find your offers, book tickets or make an appointment for a meeting.

Have you had your digital contact surfaces with citizens or guests checked? Digital accessibility can be complicated if you do not work with it on a daily basis. Therefore, we recommend that you seek help with the development of digital services. Your current solutions may also be improved so that they are easier to use for more people. The company Siteimprove has a free "website checker" that can check whether a page on your website meets the international requirements - WCAG - for websites. It can be a way to get started and can qualify what help you need if you cannot improve the site yourself.

Requirements for digital accessibility are collected in the European Digital Accessibility Act (EAA), which came into force in the summer of 2025.
